What does photo restoration do?

What do I need to start?

What is the difference between Classic and Growing?

Classic brings each photo to life on its own and plays your video moments between them. Growing melts one photo into the next, so one person grows up in front of your eyes. Growing uses photos only.

What is the difference between Reborn and Bloom?

Neither style is available yet. They are coming later. Both are for old black and white photos: each one wakes up in colour. The difference is how one photo reaches the next. In Reborn it melts into the next, like Growing, which suits one person through the years. In Bloom it gently fades into the next, like turning album pages, which suits photos of different people.

How long does it take?

What happens to my home videos?

We watch each video and suggest its best parts. You choose the clips, as many as you like, and trim each one. A clip can keep its own sound, and the music goes down while it plays. Short clips can be sharpened. Videos are never coloured or animated.

Which photos work best?

Photos with clear, visible faces and good light. Old, faded and blurry photos work too; the result depends on how much of the face is there to work with.

What is the best way to scan an old album?

Take a photo of each print with your phone. Find soft daylight, hold the phone straight above the photo, and avoid reflections and shadows.

How many photos do I need?

Each photo plays for five seconds, so twelve photos make a minute. Clips add their own length.

Which files can I upload?

Photos in JPG, PNG, HEIC and WebP, and videos in MP4 and MOV, straight from your phone or computer.

What shape will my film be?

You choose: tall for phones, wide for the TV, or the classic 4:3 and 3:4 of old prints. We suggest the shape that fits most of your photos.

Every film can open with a short AI video made just for them. Choose a theme, add their name and a few words of yours, and we make the opening. It comes at no extra cost.

Can I add text, narration or subtitles?

You can add an opening and a closing card: a name, a date or a short dedication. Narration and subtitles are not available.

Can I use my own music?

Yes. Pick a track from our library, or upload songs of your own as MP3 or WAV.

What if I don’t like one of the animations?

Make it again. Every animation you pay for can be made again 3 times, free.

Can I change the film after it’s made?

Yes. Your draft stays. Reorder the photos, change the music or the titles, and make the film again. Only new animations cost anything.

How do I get my film?

We email you a link the moment it’s ready, and it waits in My films. Download it in full HD, or share one link with the whole family.

Can I make more than one film?

As many as you like. Each film has its own draft: a different gift for each person or occasion.

What am I paying for?

For the animations in your film. In Classic, one animation is one photo in motion. In Growing, one animation is one photo growing into the next, so 5 photos make 4 animations. A video file counts as one animation in each film you put it in, however many clips you take from it. Restoring, music, the opening and the free retries are included, and animations never expire.

What if I’m not happy with my film?

Write to us within 30 days of buying and we refund the full amount, even if you used the animations. And if something fails on our side, the animation comes back automatically.

Your photos are used for one thing only: your film. We never train AI on them, only people you send the link to can watch, and you can delete your photos, films or whole account at any time.
